From Class Work or Your Hobby, You Can be the Winner
I have no idea what I want to post in my blog right now. I want to doing something like posting about Hillwood High School Student Achievements, but what I need is doing interview first.
Wow, kreepppp… Mr. Ginsberg need all students posting their works in their blog in the end of class. Be honnest, I didn’t interview anyone yet. But let’s thing… Hhhhmmm…. I have some from my class work in Media Concepts Class. You need to read this :
If you feel so lazy to finish your class works like made some video, you need to really focus to finishing all of your works if you want to get a good grade and you not suppose to see your teacher mad all day. That just can make your class feel boring every second. Or may be you are very maniac with camera record and have hobby to create some video, probably you like to upload that in Facebook, MySpace, or YouTube. But you need to try like what your friends done. Many of your friends in Hillwood High School tried to be lucky in TDOT Announces Nashville Project Orange Video Contest, present by the Nashville Department of Transportation. One of 45 videos contest for Nashville, Leah Hartley, Senior of Hillwood High School made a regional winner.
“Drive to Spare Lives”, the 25 seconds video by Leah was chosen. This grabs the viewer’s attention with a fast paced montage of the distractions young drivers face: friends, cell phones, text messages, and music. This idea very simple but it also shows the deadly consequences of driving carelessly through work zone. You need to watch this before you want to have fun to driving.
“I had fun creating this video and learn a lout about work zones and how dangerous they can be if you are not paying attention,” said the girl who has hobby to singing too. “I’m so excited that I can share that message with the other teenagers.” Leah said in the morning when school announced this, she just finished this video in the Mr. Ginsberg class. You know how fun Mr. Ginsberg’s class, and if you can focus, you can be the next winner from Hillwood.
All regional winners selected from competitions in the Nashville, Memphis, Knoxville, Chattanooga, and Tri-Cities will be continuing to state contest. Mr. Ginsberg said he so optimist Leah will be win again in state contest after he saw all the state contestants’ video. Leah perhaps she can make in state contest and continue to national contest. “If we can win in national contest, we can make $5,000 scholarship,” said Leah in her English class.
We never know, may be in all of your video collection or may be just from your class works you can be the winner and make scholarship to your feature. Let’s start to have fun with your camera record and may be you are the next…
So, good luck for Leah. We cannot wait to watching your video in TV….
